Bus Éireann Is Welcoming The Partial Car Ban On Patrick Street

A ban on private cars between 3pm and 6:30pm is being introduced from next month and is expected to reduce journey times for Cork bus commuters travelling via the city's main street.
A study commissioned by Bus Éireann found that the street contains two of the worst pinch points in the city, with some buses travelling the route recording average speeds of between 1 and 6 kph.
40,000 people commute by bus in Cork everyday.
Speaking to RedFM News, Nicola Cooke from Bus Éireann says the ban will be positive for those commuters
