Business Almost Back To Normal Following Lift Of Patrick Street Car Ban

It's almost back to business as normal, three weeks after the Patrick Street traffic restrictions were lifted

That's according to English Market Fishmonger Pat O'Connell who says talks between City Hall and traders about the reintroduction of the private car ban in August have already begun..

However he says some traders will be reluctant to re-visit talks due to the detrimental impact they say the ban had on their business, including a reduction in footfall and a drop in takings.

Some traders were forced to cut staff hours as a direct result of the ban.

Speaking to RedFM News, Pat O'Connell says it's vital that city centre businesses and their employees are protected.
