Business owner hits out at criticism of flood relief scheme

A business owner in Blackpool, who has been hit by flooding several times, has hit out at the criticism of the flood relief plans for Cork by the savecorkcity group.

The group are calling on the public to persuade the OPW not to construct flood defence walls on the citys' quays as they say it will damage the existing historic fabric of the city.

Jer Buckley who owns the Centra Store in Blackpool says the last thing Cork needs is for the flood relief plans to be hit by further delays.
