Business owners Briefed On The City Centre Movement Strategy Today

The controversial private car ban on Patrick Street will be re-introduced on August 9th
The first group of business owners have been briefed on the City Centre Movement strategy this morning
The strategy to combat traffic congestion were detailed at the meeting and traders were given the opportunity to voice their concerns in the lead up to the re-introduction of the controversial private car ban on Patrick Street on August 9th.
The ban was scrapped after three weeks in April following an outcry from city centre traders, some of whom said they were forced to cut staff hours due to a drop off in trade.
City Hall says the ban is a vital element in dealing with traffic congestion as up to 5,000 new jobs are to come on-stream in the city in the next three years.
Speaking to RedFM News Tom Randles of Barter Travel on Patrick street said traders' concerns were addressed
