Businesses in West Cork say road infrastructure isn't fit for purpose after devastating floods

It comes as 14 counties in the southern half of the country will be subject to a status yellow rainfall warning from tomorrow.
The warning for Munster, Carlow, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Wexford, Wicklow, Offaly and Galway comes into effect from 2 o clock tomorrow morning.
It will be in place for the entire day, with Met Eireann warning of the potential for thundery downpours and localised flooding.
It follows devastating flash flooding in West Cork which it's estimated has caused millions of euros worth of damage.
Rosscarbery is one of the areas worst affected, as well Dunmanway, Bantry, and many areas in the vicinity of Clonakilty such as Rathbarry.
Local business owners in the area have called for immediate action and say they're depending on the visitors and if the road network can't cope with adverse weather conditions there's no hope for recovery post COVID19.
Speaking to RedFM News General Manager of the Celtic Ross Hotel in Rosscarbery Neil Grant says his staff are already under pressure working hard to adhere to all safety measures in the wake of COVID19 and now they're strugggling to even get to work:
