Businesses Leeside unite to tackle anti-social behaviour in the city centre

A WhatsApp group of 25 traders has been set up to communicate and inform each other of incidents and altercations within the area

The Cornstore Area group consisting of a number of traders say anti-social behaviour of drinking and begging is plaguing the streets.

The group are turning their campaign towards City Hall to highlight other issues affecting business such as litter and maintenance of neglected buildings.

According to a report in the Evening Echo it's hoped a roaming security officer will be in place by next week to cover a number of streets including Cornmarket Street, Paul street, Daunt Square and Carey's Lane.
