Busy Month For Ireland's First Charity Air Ambulance Based In North Cork

It's been a busy month for Ireland's first charity air ambulance, which is based in North Cork, after it dealt with 56 cases in its first month of service.
The Helicopter Emergency Medical Service which was officially launched yesterday has responded to an average of two calls each day over the past month.
One of them was a North Cork man who had been fundraising for the service which is based out of Rathcoole Aerodrome in Millstreet.
Liam O'Riordan who is from the area fell off a ladder and suffered a sever injury just two days after his fundraising efforts and he says without the service his outcome could have been much different.
John Kearney, CEO, Irish Community Rapid Response, told RedFM News that not everyone has had the same outcome but he hopes this service will help to change that by complementing the existing front line services:
