Cabinet Expected To Sign Off On Funding For Macroom Bypass

Cabinet is expected to sign off on funding for the long awaited Macroom Bypass next month.

That's according to Agriculture Minister Michael Creed who says the government are committed to delivering the 22km project linking Cork and Kerry.

Transport Infrastructure Ireland estimate the project, which will be used by around 20,000 vehicles every day, will cost around €280 million and take three years to complete when work gets underway next year.
