Cabinet to meet early next week to decide if the next stage of easing restrictions can go ahead on July 5th

The government is reportedly considering a two-week delay to plans for indoor dining in pubs and restaurants
Ministers believe it would allow more people to be fully vaccinated before the Delta variant becomes the dominant strain.
Noel Anderson, chair of the Licensed Vintners Association, wants urgent clarity from the government:
"We've been hearing the next two or three weeks for a long long time where we kept getting pushed back. We're reaching the end of the road where there's huge implications, bringing tens of thousands of people off the PUP, huge impact to the economy, huge impact to the hospitality industry, huge impact to our suppliers. We are absolutely exhausted, and we are sick of being treated like this by the government."
