Calls By Cork Community For National Guidelines For Solar Farms

A Cork community who campaigned against plans for a solar windfarm says legislation needs to be introduced to prevent the uncontrolled spread of solar farm development.
An Bord Pleanala granted planning permission for a 32 acre Solar Farm in Farrangalway despite a recommendation from its own inspector to refuse planning for the development.
The Jagoes Mills Action Group hit out at the decision but decided not to press ahead with a judicial review citing costs.
Speaking to RedFM News Aoife Carlin from the group says although they didn't win in their fight to prevent the solar farm in Kinsale they will continue to fight for proper legislation in the area:
