Calls For 24 Hour Security At The Former Cork Tax Office Following Fire

The building on O'Sullivan's Quay is set to be demolished in the next fortnight
Calls have been made for the deployment of 24 hour security at the former Cork tax office following two fires in less than 48 hours.
Concern has been expressed for the safety of four teams of firefighters in breathing apparatus who had to conduct a sweep of the building amid fears that some youths were inside.
The building on O'Sullivan's Quay is set to be demolished in the next fortnight but in the meantime it is the scene of anti social behaviour by youths..

Gerry Myers Third Officer with Cork City Fire Service who was the incident commander at the scene yesterday told RedFM News that the building needs to be secured ahead of its' demolition for everyone's safety
