Calls for a public update on the Events Centre

It comes as the one year anniversary of the sod turning ceremony by the Taoiseach is approaching
Fresh calls are being made on the developers behind the Events Centre to update the public on the €50 million project.
Alf Smiddy, the former managing director of the Beamish & Crawford Brewery, says the public have a right to know how the €20 million in taxpayers money allocated to the project is to be spent.
The developers are to brief city Councillors at the end of the month as the one year anniversary of the sod turning ceremony by the Taoiseach at the former brewery site fast approaches.
Speaking on the Neil Prendeville Show on Cork's RedFM Alf Smiddy says the ongoing uncertainty about the project is unnerving.
