Calls For Action To Be Taken On Parking Arrangements Around Páirc Uí Chaoimh

Residents complained of gridlock and illegal parking on Saturday night

City Councillors are seeking a meeting with the Gardai to discuss traffic and parking arrangements around the newly re-vamped Páirc Uí Chaoimh

Residents in the area are up in arms after the senior hurling championship match between Cork and Limerick on Saturday night when cars were left abandoned in front of peoples' homes..

Residents complained of gridlock and illegal parking and long queues were reported around Cork Con, Skehard Road, Ballinlough Road and Boreeenmanna Road

Local councillor and resident Des Cahill says while traffic was better orgainsed around Ballintemple, he believes that a traffic management and mobility plan for stadium events needs to be revisited.

Speaking on the Neil Prendeville Show on Cork's RedFM Cllr Cahill says cars which were inappropriately parked were fined
