Calls For Animal Welfare To Be Included In Primary School Curriculum
A new initiative is calling for animal welfare to be included on the curriculum in primary schools.
The Green Party and the ISPCA says its important that people are taught about responsible pet ownership from a young age.
Over the last three years the agency has received over 53,000 calls with allegations of cruelty or neglect.
CEO of the ISPCA Dr Andrew Kelly says their message is clear:
