Calls For Cork Teenagers To Be Made Aware Of Legal Consequences Of Sexting

Sexting is now seen as normal by many young people Leeside.

That's the message from Cork based Internet Security company Trend Micro, who say sexually explicit messages, photographs and images is now viewed as normal and considered modern day flirting.

However experts have warned that this craze is putting children as young as 9 in comprimising positions, as they are put under increasing pressure to share such images on social media.

They are calling on parents to educate children on the legal guidelines surrounding the use of the internet an mobile phone applications.
