Calls For Dedicated Children's Ambulance Service In Cork

BUMBLEance, The Children's National Ambulance Service, says it is vital that the county has it's own dedicated vehicle

Efforts are underway to secure a Cork based BUMBLEette to help sick children across the city and county..

BUMBLEance, The Children's National Ambulance Service, says the demand for the service among families with sick children in Cork is so strong now, that it's vital that the county has it's own dedicated vehicle..

The Cork based vehicle would transport and support critically and seriously ill children throughout the Southern region as they travel to and from hospital, national treatment centers, and respite and hospice care facilities nationwide.

A variety of fundraising events are being held  throughout this year in order to make this goal a reality and life a little bit easier for sick children and their families

You can support by texting BUZZ to 50300 to make a €4 donation or click on BUMBLEance.com

A Twilight Walk is being held at Fota Wildlife Park on Thursday 27th July from 6.30pm - 8.30pm with all proceeds from the night donated to BUMBLEance

Nicola O'Sullivan from BUMBLEance told RedFM News that it's a free service for families and as most of the specialised care for children is Dublin based these sick children spend a lot of time on the road
