Calls for emergency shelters in Cork
It follows the announcement of similar shelters in the capital for the homeless.
Calls have been made for additional emergency shelter places to be made available Leeside this winter.
It comes after today's announcement that 500 additional places are being made available to rough sleepers in Dublin between now and Christmas.
A Cork homeless charity says they encountered 89 homeless people last month - the highest monthy figure in over three years.
Speaking to RedFM News Paul Sheehan of Cork Simon says up to 20 beds are needed and discussions are ongoing to secure the beds before temperatures begin to drop even further.
