Calls for Government to sever ties with the EU
The Peoples Convention in Cork are calling on the Government to sever ties with Brussels.
They are stepping up their "Ire-exit" campaign, by symbolically burning the flag of the European Union outside City Hall at 7pm this evening.
The group will hold a forum on the possibility of Ireland abondoning what they say is the "sinking ship of the European Union"
It comes as the Department of Finance has warned that a hard Brexit could cost Ireland more than 40,000 jobs.
Speaking to RedFM News Diarmuid O'Cadhla of the People's Convention says a referendum must be called on Ireland leaving the EU:
