Calls For Levy On Alcohol
A levy on alcohol could be introduced by the Health Minister. The Alcohol Forum is calling for a new super fee on drink to clampdown on binge drinking and alcohol addiction in Ireland. Minister James Reilly says he's in favour of the minimum pricing of alcohol. And he says he would like to see the price of drink increase in supermarkets and off licences and decrease in pubs.
