Calls for national campaign geared towards motorcyclists
It follows recent figures which show that 15 motorcyclists have died on Irish roads so far this year.
The Road Safety Authority is being urged to launch a national campaign targeting motorcyclists, amid rising fatalities on Irish roads.
The death toll for motorcyclists has risen to 15 this year compared to 23 for the whole of 2014.
The most recent Leeside occurred near Kilworth on Saturday afternoon when 41-year-old Timothy Joseph Sweetnam was fatally injured after his motorbike collided with a car.
Engineers from Ireland Munster Centre are now calling for a national campaign geared towards motorcyclists and mandatory driving lessons for those disqualified for incurring 12 penalty points.
Speaking to RedFM News Brian Farrell of the RSA says they're concerned about the number of fatalities on motorbikes this year so far.
