Calls for park and ride facility to service Pairc Uí Chaoimh

Calls are being made for a park-and-ride facility to be included in the mobility plan for Cork's newest stadium Pairc Uí Chaoimh.
It's emerged in today's Irish Examiner that officials in City Hall considered injuncting the Cork County GAA Board over its mobility plan in the run up to the first major games at the €70 million facility over the weekend.
However The County Board supplied the additional information requested by City Hall just before the weekend which was enough to prevent any disruption.
It follows confirmation by the Ballintemple Area Residents Association that not a single issue of concern was raised by the residents of more than 12 housing estates with increased garda presence praised.
However calls have been made for a a special licence to allow a park-and-ride facility to service the stadium. The Black Ash park and ride facility was closed on Sunday.
