Calls for protection for people attending venues in the wake of the atrocity at the Ariana Grande gig

22 people were killed in the Manchester Arena bombing in 2017

A survivor of the Manchester Arena bombing wants to see better protection for people attending venues in the wake of the atrocity.

The inquiry into the 2017 terror attack is about to publish its first report into the security arrangements at the Ariana Grande concert.

22 people were killed when Salman Abedi blew himself up there.

Adam Lawler, who suffered serious injuries, says mistakes were made.

"They messed up, they made human errors, they made massive errors, but at the end of the day they didn't pull the trigger. He did. And if we're gonna ever really going to lay blame on what happened, we have to lay it on him"
