Calls for repair works on the Shakey Bridge to be re-considered

The calls come after it was revealed that the repair works on Daly's Bridge are to affect its signature shake.
The National conservation and Heritage Group are calling on engineers to alter the design plan in a bid to maintain the shake.
Engineers say the shaking of the bridge has contributed to its deterioration over the years and that the plans will help reduce its shake.
According to a report in the Irish Examiner the final design of the plans are not confirmed but its hoped work will begin in September.
