Calls for supports for Cork's homeless
An average of 8 people were sleeping rough on the streets of Cork every night last week. Cork Simon Community says their emergency shelter is full every night and homelessness here is getting worse. The organisation has launched a report today which has identified five key triggers which lead people to become homeless. These include housing crisis, relationship breakdown, substance misuse, financial circumstances and poor mental health.
