Calls Have Been Made For Air Quality Monitoring On Some Of The City's Busiest Roads

It comes after recent tests carried out in advance of the Patrick Street traffic restrictions showed a direct link between heavy traffic and high levels of air pollution.
It's hoped that the tests will begin on the North Ring Road between the Silver Springs Hotel and Ballyvolane.
Speaking to RedFM News Cllr Ted Tynan says he believes that the City Council should be continuously monitoring Cork's Air and he says it shouldn't just be confined to the city centre:
