Calls to tackle student accommodation crisis

The call comes from the Union of Students of in Ireland.

The Union of Students in Ireland is calling for urgent action to address the student accommodation crisis.

They say that more accomodation is needed, and that the government needs short and long term solutions to the problem.

Some students have been struggling to find or afford accommodation, particularly in Cork, Dublin, and Galway. 

USI President Kevin O'Donoghue says that housing costs are becoming a barrier to education.
