Cancer Society warns against burning in soaring temperatures

The Irish Cancer Society say the upturn in the economy is being linked with skin cancers.

Over 10,000 new cases of skin cancer are diagnosed in Ireland every year and the charity says that figure is on the rise as people are able to holiday abroad more often.

Temperatures Leeside are hitting the low to mid 20s this week and people are being advised of the dangers of UV rays and sun exposure.
