Cape Clear Water Infrastructure Closer To Completion

Irish water have moved a step closer to the installation of a €4.5 million water infrastructure scheme on Cape Clear.

Along with Cork County Council, Irish water have completed the design work on the project, and the tendering process for construction has begun.

The Cape Clear Watermain Rehabilitation Project will replace the island's entire water main network.

Currently residents rely on groundwater wells, but during the busy summer season, the water level often drops leaving businesses and homes without water.
