Capitol Cinema Site redevelopment to create hundreds of jobs.

The redevelopment of the former Capitol Cinema site is being hailed as an opportunity to showcase Cork city's progress since the economic downturn.
The approval for planning permission from Cork City Council earlier this week has been broadly welcomed and the 50 million euro redevelopment is expected to create 450 jobs in addition to 200 construction jobs.
The project is fully funded and will see the demolition of the current building and it replaced with a retail, office and food innovation hub.
It' expected the redevelopment will be open for business by the start of 2017.
