Carbon monoxide detectors for elderly Blarney Street residents

Carbon monoxide detectors are to be installed in the homes of the elderly in the Blarney Street area as part of a pilot scheme launched this morning. Residents set up a campaign for the detectors last month after two elderly sisters were overcome by carbon monoxide fumes in their home. Both of the women remain in hospital but are said to be doing well.
