Carlow Has Highest Divorce Rate In The Country
Carlow remains the county with the highest divorce rate, closely followed by Dublin and Tipperary.
Over 4,100 couples applied for divorce across the country in 2016, while 1,300 applied for judicial separation.
Cork has been listed as one of the counties where judicial separation is more likely to be chosen with 96 cases granted out of a 181 applications.
The latest figures from the Courts Service also show that Leitrim had the lowest number of applications - at just 17.
