Castlewhite Residents Fear Someone Will Die At Their Junction If Changes Aren't Made

Over 40,000 vehicles pass the junction on the N71 Cork to Bandon road by the Viaduct every day
Over 40,000 vehicles pass the junction on the N71 Cork to Bandon road by the Viaduct every day, prompting residents to call on the County Council and Transport Infrastructure Ireland to install traffic calming measures.
The Castlewhite Residents Road Safety Committee fear a number of near misses at the junction could turn into a fatal collision and want a roundabout to be built at the junction to slow traffic on the 100 kilometre per hour stretch of road.
Speaking to RedFM News, Committee member Jim Ryan says the TII are refusing to make any changes at the junction
