Celebrate science at the Cork Science Festival

The aim of the festival is to take science out of the classroom and to highlight how science is part of everyday life
The Cork Science Festival will give people the opportunity to discover the science of beer, coffee, comedy and food nutrition.
The event, which begins today, will show people how science is part of their everyday lives.
Science Foundation Ireland is encouraging people to get involved and celebrate Irish science and technology, with family friendly events and hands-on workshops taking place at various venues across the city.
The aim of the week, is to take science out of the classroom and show how it impacts the environment that we live in.
Speaking to RedFM News Director of Communications at Science Foundation Ireland Dr Ruth Freeman says this year it's all about the science of everyday.
