Celebrations continuing in Tipperary this morning

Jockey Rachael Blackmore made history by becoming the first woman to win the Grand National.

There were emotional scenes at Aintree yesterday as Rachael Blackmore became the first ever female rider to win the Randox Grand National.

The Tipperary native guided the JP McManus owned, Henry De Bromhead trained, Minella Times to victory after going off at a starting price of 11-to-1.

The favourite Cloth Cap was pulled up three fences from home.

31-year-old Blackmore only went professional in 2015.

She said it was a dream come true moment.

"It's the race that catches every child's imagination and I was no different. As I started riding as a jockey I never thought I would even get to ride in the National, let alone come home in front in it, you know, so it's incredible."
