Chairman Of Talks In Beef Dispute Expected To Appear Before Oireachtas Agriculture Committee

The independent chairman of talks in the beef dispute is expected to appear before the Oireachtas agriculture committee later.
It comes as unofficial protests by farmers are continuing outside up to 17 meat factories including the ABP plant in Bandon.
Meat Industry Ireland says some plants are now fully blockaded, and that it's affecting beef exports.
Farmers temporarily lifted their blockade of the plant in Bandon on Monday to allow a Chinese trade delegation into the plant.
Fine Gael deputy and chairman of the agriculture committee, Pat Deering, outlines today's proceedings:
