Chamber says Cork Airport will have to waive landing fees to attract airlines

Cork Airport will have to waive landing fees if it's to attract new airlines to operate out of the city. That's according to the CEO of Cork Chamber of Commerce who says the airport is not operating on a level playing pitch with Shannon Airport. The call comes as management at Cork Airport are holding a series of meetings with airlines to discuss potential new routes in the wake of the decision by Aer Lingus to cut the Cork to Brussels airlink. The airline is also planning to reduce the number of winter flights from Cork that service Munich and Malaga.
