Charity Says Young People Increasingly Using Social Media To Get Around Age Checks When Buying Alcohol
The Irish Community Action on Alcohol Network says there has been a rise in the sale of drink online during the pandemic
Paula Leonard from Alcohol Forum Ireland says this needs to be policed more effectively:
"E-commerce is a huge growth area and it is absolutely undeniably here to stay. So from a rational point of view, we are not talking about the banning of drink deliveries. What we're looking for, is to have the same protections built into drink deliveries, that you would have on licenced premises."
