CHASE escalate campaign against incinerator

An environmental group fighting against a proposed incinerator in Ringaskiddy has escalated their campaign in a bid to increase the level of opposition.
Cork Harbour Alliance for a Safe Environment has launched an online campaign to gather a mass objection to the latest attempt by Indaver Ireland to obtain planning for a €160 million twin incinerator project in Cork Harbour.
An Bord Pleanala refused planning permission for the facility in 2011 but a recent ruling by the Bord paved the way for the waste management company to submit a fresh applicaton.
