CHASE vow to continue their campaign against plans for an Incinerator
An Environmental Group opposed to the construction of an Incinerator in Cork Harbour have vowed to continue their campaign for as long at it takes.
The Cork Harbour Alliance for a Safe Environment say they have been fighting an application by waste managment company Indaver to build the facility for over 16 years in one guise or another, and they are not ready to give up just yet.
CHASE have expressed frustration at the decision by An Bord Pleanala to defer the date for decision on the €160 million euro incinerator for the fourth time in order to obtain more information from the company.
The groups steering committee will be meeting later this week to discuss what the next step will be in their campaign.
