Children's Minister Does Not Support Visit To Ireland By President Trump

The Children's Minister says she wouldn't support a visit to Ireland by President Trump.

American-born Minister Katherine Zappone has been a vocal critic of Donald Trump, and today said she was "deeply concerned and frankly shocked" by his comments about North Korea during Wednesday's speech to the UN General Assembly.

It comes in the same week as an Irish Examiner poll found the majority of Irish farmers would not support a visit by President Trump to Ireland.

While insisting it's important that Ireland maintains it's ties with the States, Minister Zappone says she agrees with farmers.
