Children's Minister under pressure in TUSLA error
The Children's minister is under pressure to state whether she informed cabinet colleagues about the TUSLA error regarding Garda whistleblower Sergeant Maurice McCabe.
The child and family agency wrongly sent a file containing false allegations of sexual abuse against the garda sergeant to Gardaí.
TUSLA has today written a letter of apology to him - but he's expected to sue the agency for damage done to him and his family.
It's emerged that Minister Katherine Zappone was aware of the situation since last month but it's unclear whether she told the rest of the Cabinet of the case when they met last Tuesday.
