Children's Rights Alliance Is Calling For Tusla To Urgently Recruit More Social Workers To Deal With Vulnerable Children

Nearly 5,000 children haven't been allocated a social worker

The children have been referred to Tusla for child protection or welfare reasons - and 722 are deemed to be 'high priority'.

Tanya Ward, the chief executive of the Children's Rights Alliance, says a shortage of staff is the problem.
