CIT Lead Calls For More Funding For Mental Health Services

The students union say evidence shows that counselling services are highly effective


Pieta House is supporting calls for Cork Institute of Technology for more funding to be made available for mental health services in third level institutes.. 

CIT students union have revealed that a lack of on-campus manpower means they have had to accompany students to Pieta House to ensure they get the necessary support and help 

The students union say evidence shows that counselling service are highly effective but as there is such a strong demand for these services among students that they are struggling to cope 

Chris Von Raesfeldt from Pieta House in Cork told RedFM News that despite the national conversation on suicide there continues to be a stigma around it
