CIT Spending Revelations Prompts Calls For Review Of Misuse Of Public Funds

There are calls for penalties to be imposed on institutions that misuse public funds.
It's after Cork Institute of Technology spent 13-thousand euro on two retirement parties, which included a red carpet and an ice sculpture.
The Higher Education Authority told the Public Accounts Committee that it's looking for a full explanation for the spending.
But PAC's Marc MacSharry says there's no provision for repercussions:
