Cork parents have slammed the organisation of a post junior cert party which was held in a city centre hotel last night.

It's understood there were complications regarding the issuing of online tickets which left hundreds of teenagers stranded outside the venue.

Parents contacted RedFM last night to highlight the incident and say they were told the event had been oversold and a refund would be issued or the party would be rescheduled.

The event which was an outside rental, was not organised by the SilverSprings Hotel, who are due to issues a statement shortly.

The promoter of the event was also not available to take our call earlier this morning.

Speaking to the Neil Prendeville Show Hanley says it was an unsafe situation for her sister who was unable to enter the event despite holding a ticket.
