City Centre Traders Are Up In Arms Over The Imposition Of A Car Ban On Patrick Street

They are also objecting to the removal of car parking spaces on Morrison's Quay
Both issues were raised at a heated meeting of Cork Business Association last night which was called to discuss the removal of 100 car parking spaces at Morrison's Quay as part of the flood relief scheme there.
A representative from the City Council attended last night's meeting and traders say he was left in no doubt that they believe there is a major problem in the city centre and they are now waiting on the council to come back to them with a solution.
Speaking to RedFM News this morning Pat O'Connell of K O'Connells in the English Market, who attended last night's meeting says traders believe their concerns are not being heard or dealt with:
