City Council still in negotiations over new HolyHill housing scheme

Th discussions centre around issues with relocating.
Negotiations are ongoing between City Council officials and 16 traveller families who are due to relocate to a new €5 million purpose built housing scheme on Monday.
Some families are refusing to move from their Hollyhill halting site to the new St Anthony’s Park scheme just 200 yards away over issues including a lack of space for their horses.
A City Council spokesperson confirmed to RedFM that disturbance money was one of the issues brought to their attention.
As of this morning 13 of the 16 families have agreed to make the move on Monday when the site will be declassed as an official halting site and those who remain on it will be considered tresspassers.
Speaking on the Neil Prendeville Show Valerie O’Sullivan, the council’s director of housing and community services, says negotiations are continuing but there won't be any provision for horses on the site or for disturbance money:
