City Council Urged To Close Access Path Between Two Estates in Mayfield

Tarry Path has been the scene of illegal dumping, littering and underage drinking
Calls have been made on the City Council to consider blocking access to a path which runs between two housing estates in Mayfield in an effort to combat antisocial behaviour
Tarry Path which runs between Avonmore park and Ballinderry park in Mayfield has been the scene of illegal dumping, littering and underage drinking and residents are now looking for firm action to be taken
In September, officials at City Hall confirmed that they are considering constructing infill housing on the Tarry Path as a long-term solution to the persistent issues.
However, locals claim that short-term resolutions are also needed as the housing development is likely to take a number of years to come to fruition.
