City Hall Calls Off Planned Closure Of St. Patrick's Bridge This Weekend

City Hall has called off the planned closure of St Patrick's Bridge this weekend.
The bridge was scheduled to close Friday evening until Monday morning for resurfacing works.
The work has now been pushed back to the new year following backlash from traders around the controversial Patrick street car ban.
City Hall said the works were delayed because it could not be guaranteed that resurfacing could be completed by Sunday night.
However the Irish Examiner reports that an intervention by Cork Business Association was a factor in the decision.
