Clean up underway in Cork
ESB crews are battling weather conditions to restore power to 8,500-thousand homes and businesses nationwide. Home and business owners in Cork are still worst-affected, with the city and Fermoy badly hit.. Power is also out in Bandon, Kinsale, Cobh, Rosscarbery, Whitechurch and Coolrore near Kilumney.. The ESB says power should be restored by 7pm this evening and some places will be re-connected by lunchtime..
